Prostheses are made to eliminate all kinds of edentulousness, restore teeth, and gain function and aesthetics.
According to the number of missing teeth and the needs of the patients, prostheses are basically divided into fixed prostheses (crown, bridge) and removable prostheses (palate, hook or snap prosthesis).
Fixed prostheses are preferred when there is less tooth deficiency and in the presence of suitable teeth to be supported, but in cases where there is too much tooth deficiency and fixed prosthesis or implant cannot be made, a removable prosthesis is preferred.
